Kermodei Bear - subspecies of the black bear - Terrace is famous for it - not a polar bear - this one is plastic and found in the lobby of the motor inn where we were forced to seek refuge after two more pinch flats on the rear wheel and storms late in the day - MC

This was a very sad sight. a bear dead from a car or truck by the side of the road so close to Seeley Lake Provincial Park. Not two or three hours before we watched with awe as a family of bears - momma and three cubs, crossed the road safely, paying us about as much notice as the cat of nine tails growing by the roadside.

I ate at least a dozen of these on the road the next day Wendy's place before I hung the Christmas lights up.

Wendy saved us from a downpour, after 56 miles of heavy riding she opened up her kitchen and her heart to us and we'll be forever grateful.

Ah, another hill we made it to the top of... Can somebody get me a ham sandwich for my troubles?

So I suppose we'll save that road for another trip.
