Good WORK! I quit driving in Feb 2003 and have not bought a gallon of gas since; I already had been riding most of my life anyway, now its 100%

Tell you the truth, I'm tired of doin humanitarian/volunteerism stuff like you're doing.

I want MONEY and I want JUSTICE. 1) I want my share of all the fed/state and local subsidies to roads and cars, IN CASH. 2) I want part of a class action to SUE the car people for the harms, pollution, endangerment, deaths and injuries imposed by them, on bicyclists as a class.

you are crazy bro, I'm in, how are you planning on getting all these bikes fixed up to ride condition? We have bicas "build a bike" class (bicas.org) and ymca has classes, but you are going to need some hard-core bike-heads for this.

As part of our move from Sacramento to the Portland area we vowed to use our vehicle less and public transit more. We picked a cute little house to rent near the MAX, but soon found that Hillsboro is the boonies! We still have to use a car to get groceries and run all kinds of errands. I know there are people who manage to do these things using buses, but with 2 kids under 3? I'm sorry I can't manage it. So I've started haunting biking blogs, especially BikePortland and was so happy to see this! I'd love to have a bike, and will work on finding funds to get one... or freecycle or craigslist or something. I want my family to be a part of this!
